HR Excellence Awards 2013

2013_hr

With the announcement of the “HR Excellence Awards 2013“ the magazine „Human Resources Manager“ honors outstanding HR projects for the second time, which are often marked by exceptional innovation and creativity, enabling them an increased public awareness.

In 2013 Deutsche Hochschulwerbung and its cooperation partner „Young Targets“ were nominated in the category „SMEs – University Marketing“ with the concept „Job Tour“ and ranked among the top three HR projects in their category.

Short Information on the „Job Tour“:

The job tour is an event that gives students and graduates a better understanding about career prospects and their appeal at Darmstadt during the course of one day.

The event is publicized in advance on the campus, specifically within the faculties, by means of posters, displays and promotions. This represents an essential opportunity for companies to address qualified high potentials and to convince them of their ideals.

In the category „SMEs – University Marketing“ the concept „Campus Recruitainment“ ranked among the top three HR projects in this category.

Also in 2014, on the occasion of the leading awards in the field of human resources management in Germany, the magazine „Human Resources Manager“ distinguished outstanding HR projects. The finalists received their awards at a special Gala on 3rd December 2014 in “TIPI am Kanzleramt” (TIPI at the Chancellery). The shortlist can be found here.

Brief Information on „Campus Recrutainment“:

The formats carried out under the motto „Campus Recrutainment  are called „Campus DevCamp“,“IT Job Shuttle“, „Campus Hackathon“ or „Code Caching“.

Sometimes participants embark on a scavenger hunt through the campus, sometimes they take part in promotional job trips, sometimes they participate in programming competitions or in a know how exchange within small working groups on technical issues. The focus is always on technical challenge, which requires both: technical knowledge and expertise of the participants.

Participating partner companies involve themselves in the events by bringing along their experts and hence, during a short period of time, establish personal connections with young academics. As a consequence they benefit from selected subscriber profiles, from a content-related integration about technical issues and from an employer brand communication via advertising space on the campus.

Starting in 2015, these formats are being implemented at the top ten of the most renowned universities for informatics in Germany.
